The item description says it has a "tie closure" which I suspect, but the drawstring is sewn into the front of the shorts so it doesn't really do anything. As a result, there is no drawstring per se, so if your child gets out of the pool too quickly, they will leave their swim trunks behind. So now I have to try to get the cord through the belt so it doesn't fall off.
