Not really 8x8 " square drywall

I was expecting an 8x8" square piece of drywall because that is exactly the size I needed for my project. Instead, I ended up with a piece of drywall cut at an angle that never reached 8 inches. It reaches nearly 8 inches at its widest point, but is just over 7.5 inches throughout. Maybe other people just want to patch the hole, but I was trying to fix a strip of drywall that the previous owners cut. Don't buy this if you want a precisely measured piece of drywall.
