I bought this because it's a long (5 meter) cable with a rectangular USB adapter. I recently upgraded my stereo on my boat and wanted to use the USB connection to get to the glove box so we could charge our phone and play music from the glove box. The only problem was that the standard USB cable was sticking out. from the front of the deck is too much to cover the protective sea cover. This rectangular USB cable came to the rescue! It fitted perfectly and I was able to easily route the cable across the deck and to the glove box. I suppose it would be great in a car where you're trying to do the same. The cable is of high quality, looks durable and is on the edge of the USB standard in terms of length. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want a standard USB head sticking out.
