I used to have a charger that gave up the ghost a while ago and was looking for a replacement as I have a whole collection of batteries. I recently decided to charge the batteries and thought it would be wise to run a discharge cycle first and then charge them as I haven't used them for a while. Here are my results: 56 batteries, discharge cycle: 26 charges and 30 failures. This does not seem acceptable. I was expecting maybe a few batteries to be dead forever, but 30? After that first charge, I decided to just put all the "faulty" batteries through a charge cycle to see what would happen. Results: 30 batteries - charge cycle: 9 charges and 21 errors 21 batteries - charge cycle: 1 charge and 20 errors 20 batteries - charge cycle: 1 charge and 19 errors 19 batteries - charge cycle: 0 charges and 19 errors. "This is a non-rechargeable battery, so why bother recharging the batteries later? I can't believe 19 batteries were dead before. Statistically, I find it hard to believe that 34% of my batteries are dead. Before especially since someone else posted a review saying they had a similar problem.
