Review on Garmin Edge TT/Tri Bar Mount Black - Secure and Convenient Bike Mounting Solution in One Size by Keith Leach

High quality but prepare to swear if you try to secure or unlock Garmin devices

Quality is typically Garmin high quality however I do not recommend this mount. This bracket is used to mount a Garmin Edge, such as B. the Edge 1030, and for attaching accessories underneath, e.g. B. A Garmin rechargeable battery that allows you to charge the Edge and/or other items such as lights and cameras. On a road bike, a standard mount works very well for this. However, this aero bar mount on a TT bike leaves no room to attach or detach the Edge or battery pack, rendering it useless. This may be related to my bike, I installed it on Cervelo. P5. Aerodynamic bars are located close to each other. The Edge sits perfectly on the mount, as does the battery. However, you cannot open or close any of the locks to secure any of the devices to the mount. You can just open and close the lock on the Edge, use your pinky to tweak the itch and make sure you don't rush it. The only way to lock or unlock the battery is to disconnect the mount from the bars, allow it to rotate down to remove the aero bars, unlock the battery, then reattach the mount to the aero -Attach and tighten rods. Not very intuitive, is it? If you look closely at my photo, you will quickly notice that the battery is installed upside down (this is normal with the Edge, it will still charge). Putting the battery in correctly makes it even more difficult to install both devices. In other words, it's impossible. I have to point out that Garmin must have had different bikes when developing this mount and if I'm missing something I'd love to hear it. At the same time it doesn't work on my P5.
