My cat LOVES LOVES LOVES this bag, I live in Alaska and where I live it usually snows or rains. It keeps her warm and dry and I have enough room to throw in a blanket and a sack of barley for extra warmth (she's got a solid 10 pounds of muscle) AND I barely notice her weight with it on; The old bag hurt my shoulders. Whenever she sees me preparing the dog, she reaches into her bag and is ready to go as I turn. We live in a pet-friendly city, so this is a great way to take them with me when I go shopping or to work if a van doesn't fit into my plans (because if I use a van, I'll be towing the dog). My only issue with this is that it doesn't look very washable and I'm not sure about the claws on this fabric. My cat is relaxed as long as I or the dog is around, so it's not a problem for us (and we started with other, much less comfortable bags before we got this one, so we're both used to cat backpacks by now) , but I wouldn't recommend it for a cat that's going crazy trying to free itself with its claws, or a cat that pees when scared. Otherwise it seems really durable, I've had it for a few months now and I go everywhere, carry my cat in it and it hasn't shown any wear yet.
