Great cat coat! best collars, harnesses and leashes

so far so good. But it was a process and any fool can do it, but you MUST have patience with your cat! Put yourself in his shoes and try to think like a cat - it's so completely unnatural for them. But I think they need to spend some time outdoors safely, which is why I wholeheartedly believe in suspension. Do your due diligence and it will pay off for you. Here I copy and paste some advice I gave to the Facebook man when he asked what to do about his cat who hates his harness (it went over his head and down a leg - he didn't have one ): What motivates him? Meal? To play? Appendix? Get another dish. I'll find our neck and rib clips at Revain's and lay them out for you. Depending on the cat, it really takes a multi-step process to get used to it. So it takes a lot of patience, but it's really worth it after all is said and done. Peace of mind is worth the effort, trust me. I would buy a different harness and then allow at least a week for him to get used to it before you even try going outside. First when he arrives I will teach him to smell and hear when he grabs. For example, wait until feeding time, take him out and put him next to you, and then when he starts smelling him, etc., feed him. Do this for a few days and then if he doesn't care you can try putting it on him. Put it on and then immediately offer it the most desired treat. Don't leave it on for too long, maybe just a few minutes. Depending on how stubborn he is, he may or may not even try to eat his most coveted treat. Repeat this for several days, keeping it very short so as not to injure him. Eventually, he'll associate the dishes with treats and won't resist it so much. Over time, he should stop resisting and eat his treat. It's all about association. And cats are stubborn little bastards when it comes to things they don't like, so you MUST be extremely patient. Our cat is peculiar, he is not very motivated by food so we sat in a dead end for several days not knowing what would motivate him to take it. We found that he was MORE motivated to actually get out - the little jerk just cared about getting out lol! So we were fine. Let's put the dishes on and go out the door right away. So we gave it a try and it was the first time he sat still and didn't go crazy trying to break free of his leash. Then we did it for a few days and he realized that if he put it on he could go out. And so it was. That's all it took. When it dawned on him that wearing a harness could get him what he wanted, he completely immersed himself in it. Now he will sit quietly while we dress him and wait by the door!
