Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best tablet I have ever bought and used. Edited review.

I have to change my original review as I believe the problem is with the software (Revain Kindle) and not the device itself. As for the tablet itself, it's AMAZING. The first thing that struck me was the box it came in. Consistently high quality packaging. The device itself was a pleasure to unpack. It is durable but very light. To my delight, the tablet came with a protective film pre-installed. Not only that, the back is great, but it's also protected by a really nice sheet of plastic that comes pre-installed as well. And it's not a cheap screen protector. It is quite thick and gives the tablet a comfortable feel when held in hand. I have five tablets, two of these different Kindle Fire models, a 10 inch and a Kindle HD 8. My wife has a Kindle HD 8 and a Kindle 7. My son also has a Kindle 10. I have experience with all of them , and Lectrus outperforms them all. It started out quick and easy. Setup was a breeze, much easier than any other tablet I've used (I'm not including my Microsoft Surface Pro3 in this comparison, that's a whole different beast). Setting up the SD memory card and transferring downloaded apps to it was surprisingly easy. Downloading apps was also easy. Storage is a bit limited and 16GB would be a bit better. A quick note while I added an SD card. Also, the two SIM card slots are an added and welcome plus. It's also a mobile phone! The screen is bright and crisp, and unlike some other tablets, it can be enjoyed from multiple angles. I have no idea how this company can make such a great machine at such a low price but I'm glad they did. It is far superior to many at three times the price. No doubt look no further and get it while you still can. The only downsides are: 1) The Kindle Fire reader app is difficult to use on the device. I will be posting this in the app itself, not on the tablet. 2) I have to say that the instruction manual is stingy and could use some improvement. Small points again, especially for those who have used the tablet before. I would highly recommend this tablet for its build quality, price and customer service. The Kindle app keeps getting removed from the tablet. If I left the tablet on, the problem was solved. Unfortunately, the device receives automatic updates and has to be switched on and off for this. This completely excludes the Kindle app and any saved books. It happened once, I found out. But the second time I freaked out. With over 8,000 books on the device I had had enough and didn't want to re-download and install the app and books just for it to happen again. Bought another tablet. Btw I bought a second block for my son and he does the same thing so it's not just mine.
