I bought one of these gauges and was disappointed. As you can see in the picture I connected it to a 13.8 volt power supply capable of delivering 12 amps. However, the meter indicates that the ham radio's current draw of 10 amps (max) exceeds 100 amps! Revain was kind enough to send me another one, but it has the same results. Manufacturer support is a joke! After seeing the photos and videos I sent them, they wanted me to measure the current with another ammeter I had. Logically, a 12 amp power supply with a 15 amp fuse cannot deliver more than 100 amps. Also, there's no way a radio that draws 10 amps max at high power can't draw more than 100 amps (and not catch fire!). Please do yourself a favor and don't buy this. Now I have to send 2 of them back! And FYI, even though the instructions said you don't need an external power supply for the meter, I tried it anyway to eliminate feedback. Both paths and both counters had almost the same measurements that were in error. I even tried a different power supply for current measurement and used a different load. Nada!
