Leather quality is really good. He is soft and hard. The installation instructions are fairly basic, but don't provide a clear diagram of how to thread the line. Luckily the people who left reviews took photos too. Judging by the pictures and instructions I was able to figure it all out. Going all the way it all looked pretty good, but it didn't look complete. It was similar to the photos people left in the reviews (pic 1 is mine). I figured it would be better to go the whole circle again but go the opposite thread so the "stitch" looks balanced and is tighter (photos 2 and 3 are the final product). I think it turned out amazing to go through it a second time without ever cutting the string before the end of the second round. I would recommend doing it this way. I also recommend starting at the edge of the "knitting needle" as instructed in the instructions so that the knot is easier to hide at the end. The second time you do this, go behind the needle as well if you went through the front the first time. Great product and happy with the overall look after it was finished.
