Offers sensory feedback for writing practice

This Magnatab toy offers a sensory experience for learning to write upper case letters. The tablet has a magnetic pen that stores in a slot at the top. When children trace the letters with the pen the metal balls snap up and make a satisfying clicking sound. You also feel the pull of the magnet on the balls so it helps reinforce that you are tracing along the dotted line. To erase/reset the board you can either use the side of the pen or your fingers to press the balls back. The tablet seems to be well made. There are little rubber grips on the back of the tablet so it doesn't slide all over the place when being used at a table. As a left hander, I particularly like that the magnetic pen is not tethered to the tablet. Overall it's a good learning toy that my pre-K child seems to like using. It was an instant hit with her. My elementary aged children also have enjoyed playing with this tablet.
