We used to only have an emergency tire pump for our vehicles but I bought this to replace the need to adjust tire pressure as we always do with rapidly changing temperatures up north . I find this much easier to use with our air compressor and the gauge is easy to read. It's plastic, but the fittings are brass. Seems sturdy for the price. I sometimes use it as an air blaster too!
