Idiom: burned in milk - blow on water. (UPDATED)

This purchase was a replacement for the Auros Elite AX which just wasn't released. I read all the reviews that mentioned the Realtek ALC4080 sound issue. Well, as always, I took a risk and ordered this gigabyte board. To my dismay, this board actually has a terrible audio problem. Even when I'm not at my desk, the speakers randomly boom, making a screeching, loud hiss, and it's so annoying that one day I fell off the couch. Of course, Gigabyte refuses to admit this shortcoming. I've been building at Asus for many years and will never buy anything again. Get the Z590 Tuf Gaming Plus today. Second, this board is also accidentally not published on reload, which is also a disadvantage of the Auros Elite. At least ten times I had to remove the battery to get into the BIOS and then into Windows. I'm terribly tired. Problem after problem with this board. Stay away from this board and Gigabyte's Z590 series in particular. I should have followed the advice of an earlier audio commentary (that comment referred to Newegg, not Revain, by the way). UPDATE: With the exact same CPU, cooler, RAM, M.2, case and graphics card, I replaced this POS with an Asus TUF Gaming Z590 Wifi works fine. Got a POST on first boot and no audio issues. I will never buy gigabytes again. I spent 6 or 7 days constantly fixing bugs in 2 different boards and it will never happen again. Watch out Gigabyte, this is how you lose customers.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
