As a researcher, I wash my hands constantly which leaves my skin quite dry and irritated. I've tried many lotions, from prescription to drugstore, all with varying results. Avene Cold Cream has become my favorite lotion over the past year, and with good reason. The lotion absorbs very quickly (sometimes too quickly) without leaving any residue. It has a light but somewhat pleasant smell and a thicker consistency. A coin-sized drop is more than enough to cover your entire hand and so the bottle lasts for a while, which helps keep the higher price point down. It will hold up to multiple hand washes although I try to reapply after each wash.
