I used to use nails to hang pictures too and I like them better. I noticed that the negative reviews focus on the nail not feeling very strong. Remember that the nail will only hold the hanger that will support the same weight regardless of the size of the nail holding it. I like the size of the nail because it doesn't leave as big a hole as the big nail hangers I've used. I also think it seems a little easier to get into the wall. At 62 and less stable hands if I can use them with ease most people should have no problem using them. Great hangers for small to medium sized pictures, but use heavier hangers for hanging larger items.
