These drives are formatted in ex-fat, so I tried them in that format first. They are very fast. It moved a 327MB video file in less than 15 seconds. It erased it from the flash drive back to my desktop hard drive even faster, in under 10 seconds. Then I formatted them in Fat32. However, it quickly moved and copied the same file, but about 20% less, and is about halfway between ex-fat and fat32 formatting. They never seem to get hot, they just keep you warm, which is always a good thing. The outer blue or red cover is made of lightweight aluminum. Has a keychain hanger to attach your keychain to, or wire for hanging or carrying. I deleted mine as I will never need it and it was easy. Features a red LED at the top that flashes when a drive is being moved, copied, or accessed, and glows red when it's currently connected and powered on. Whilst the lid is metal the case is plastic but seems very well made, I wouldn't just leave them in my pocket and expect them to go through the wash and survive, not very many flash drives are waterproof at all . For the price you just can't beat them, very impressed.
