So I took a chance on this cheap lamp replacement option for my PJD5533W projector when this product didn't have any reviews and I had to guess this is completely new to Revain. That's why it gets 3 stars. So replacing those bulbs should be a 2 second ordeal right off the bat. Loosen 2 screws, swap bulbs, reassemble everything and you're done. It's so easy you don't even need instructions. BUT I immediately deducted 3 stars simply because this lamp house does not match the PJD5533W! You will need a dremel kit to remove some of the plastic inside to install it. Because of this, 90% of people who buy this item get useless product. But if you have a Dremel, it's really not that bad. Just scrape off the plastic that sticks out at the bottom enough to fit the lamp in and you're done. It took about 15 minutes and I'm an amateur. Then why did it get 3 stars? Well after downgrading it to 2 stars I managed to take it inside, turn it on and find that the device actually works. BUT in the original description this device is rated for around 3,000 hours. My projector is rated for around 6,000 hours, so I've got twice the lifespan I was expecting. So, at the end of the day, this device is fine. For me personally it worked, was cheap and lasted longer than expected. But for most people, installing this device will be a problem.
