Review on πŸ’» Lenovo Chromebook Duet 2-in-1: WUXGA Display, MediaTek Helio P60T, 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, Chrome OS by Russ Mashlan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a real Android tablet and more!

I don't know why Revain doesn't sell this device. It was available from Best Buy from the start and is now available from Walmart. Other sellers too. At $299 for the 128GB version, this Chromebook/tablet is a great value and will go a long way once you understand the product and fit your use case. First of all, you shouldn't go for the 64GB version because of the difference of about $20. The 64G version makes no sense with such a small price difference (no SD card slot). For the $299 128GB version, you get a tablet, stand, and keyboard. This is an amazing offer. The tablet is equipped with an ARM processor, which is not to be scoffed at. Install some Android apps that seem to work well with ARM. Of course, sometimes there are size errors and other issues when you install apps from playstore, but mostly it's very nice. With just 4GB of RAM, the Duet performs well as long as you don't push it beyond its limits. Don't expect dozens of apps to run simultaneously, but for the most typical use cases, this little guy will do well and even surprise you with its performance. The real plus points of this device are the bright and beautiful screen and the excellent build quality. Nothing about the product looks cheap. Everything looks very good. As for the keyboard, there are reviews that everything is fine with the keyboard. That's normal for a device, of course, but what do you expect from a keyboard and a 10-inch screen? Once you get used to the keyboard, you will find that typing with a good drop is very comfortable. However, given the size, you don't get a full typing experience. However, if you need a keyboard to quickly email or be productive, you've got a keyboard that comes with the price. Wonderful. Don't think you'll be able to use the Duet as your primary computer, but if you consider it an excellent tablet with Chromebook functionality (which just keeps getting better and better) you'll be very happy with your purchase. Bravo to Lenovo for destroying the Android tablet market and creating competition for Apple and ios - finally!
