Since my optometrist recommended that I wear an eye mask at night when I sleep under a fan, the strap on the mask has started breaking my thin, chin-length blonde hair (over gray) as it climbs up my head sleep under the fan. I toss and turn. I tried wearing a satin sleep scarf that the YouTube video said was tied, but it kept slipping off my head early in the night. Looking at sleepyheads, most of them seem to work best for women with curly hair. Luckily I found this little gem and it lasts all night, wonderful every night. The silky inside protects my hair and the outer fabric is very soft. Not hot at all, no tightness or claustrophobia. It's just perfect for my needs.
