I used about 1/3 of the concentrated color on these 100% cotton bags (nylon straps and pre-dyed). The color stayed on the fabric for 24 hours and certainly worked, but I feel like more powder should be added to the mix. The colors have faded after washing. If you're looking for bolder colors, you may need to use most of the powder that comes with it. The instructions state that fabrics must be washed before attempting to dye them. If you sew canvas bags like me, I would recommend washing them twice beforehand - there was a lot of glue on the fabric, and it was difficult to get the color in places where it hadn't been washed because well (like the corners ).
