Set the right exceptions and you'll love it

Let's face it, this is a cheap projector so don't expect very good video or sound quality, user interface or features. But if you know what to expect from this nifty little projector, you'll get a budget option. ► Build quality and design It was really amazing, the projector was really built by us, very elegant, light weight and easy to carry (with a nice grip). It is compact and easy to place. At the top are the controls and the focus lever. On the back you'll find multiple ports (USB, USB-C, AV, headphones, and HDMI). on the lower back there is a network connection and only an infrared receiver for the remote control. The speaker system is also on the underside ► Settings. This is where you start to understand why this projector is cheap. First, the power cord for the projector is quite short. There is only one HDMI port and plenty of USB. It's like expecting to transfer your content source over USB. By finding the optimal position, you begin to mature your display. Keystone correction options are very limited. You can pick a correction value to get 40 degrees, but that's nowhere near what you can do with a product listing. However, this is a very simple system for beginners and those who don't need to refine their browsing. Colors are pretty poor and you can (and will) play with the settings to get the best results, but don't expect too much. Colors stay a little washed out and washed out no matter what setting you use. You may get better results with professional calibration equipment. Also, the lighting isn't that good and videos can't be watched even with a dedicated screen. ► Playback options via a USB-C connection, a wireless connection like Apple AirPlay or other require a third-party device. In my case, I had to connect my Apple TV to use the broadcast, which worked fine but had nothing to do with the projector's capabilities. It's a bit misleading at first as the menu clearly says "Airplay" and after a while you realize it's just a name they used and has nothing to do with Apple Airplay or Chrome Cast. After reading about them, it is clearly said that you need an additional device for them to work. Talk about misleading information here. In any case, I would be surprised to know that there is a projector in this price range. I haven't tested any connection other than HDMI that worked well. The UI menu is fairly limited and not very user-friendly, but if you stick to a connected device you won't see it after the initial setup. List (when you get to it) is native 720P, which is pretty low at the moment. The 1080p upscaling algorithm used by the projector isn't great, and you end up with slightly blurry video instead of sharp. Playing around with the video settings can improve it a bit, but not by much. The colors are also washed out and not very bright. For occasional use, children's rooms, presentations, etc., the quality is more than sufficient. ► Sound quality The volume is decent for the size, but not overwhelming. Younger kids might not mind, but placing a mono speaker in a less-than-ideal position for the viewer doesn't sound good. There is also an annoying feature when muting the speaker in the video. There is a mute logo that never goes away. The only way to get around this is to turn the volume down to minimum. The speaker also supports Bluetooth with 360 degree HIFi surround sound, well it doesn't! ► RemoteOh man. That's an annoying thing, not the remote itself, but the location of the IR sensor. It's so slanted and only positioned at the back that you need a signal of about 10 degrees to really work ► Noise level To my surprise, the operating noise is quite low and fades into the background even when watching TV . a show that mainly uses dialects and small tones ✅ Pros: Stylish, easy to place, up to 200 inches, portable ❌ Cons: No real Wi-Fi video capabilities, sound quality, only native 720p, limited setup There are many issues with this one Projector. However, if you know about them and use them when you know them, you can create a pretty decent video that kids will enjoy and even use it here and there to watch a movie from time to time is clearly not for you . If you're looking for something for kids, a cheap garage den, etc. this can help and at the right price.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Speed
