I often have to pour liquid from a bowl into a bottle with a rather narrow neck. If I pour too fast, the liquid will spurt out farther than the neck of the bottle, and as a result, some of the liquid should miss the bottle and hit the table or floor. If I pour too slowly, the liquid will run down the rim of the bowl (and thus onto the table or floor) and not into the bottle. The funnel solves the problem perfectly. Now I can pour fast enough to keep the liquid from running down the sides of the bowl and the funnel redirects all flow, no matter how wide, into the bottle. The perfect tool for the task!
