It mashes your potatoes better than a fork. What else do you need?
I don't really like the multi-tools in my kitchen (read on!), but when you want to blend, a fork takes a lot more effort than this piece of metal with a plastic handle. You could probably use it for beating carpets or as an auxiliary antenna for that radio you bought at a flea market, but it works best for its intended purpose. You can also use it to puree berries for desserts if you like. A solid example of Chinese manufacture, I hope I never have to buy again. highlighted.
