I had to purchase one of these devices due to back surgery which resulted in what is known as 'flat foot' in my right leg/foot. The price was reasonable compared to the specialist I went to ($700). The calf strap on mine snapped in half on the first attempt to use it. I also found the device very uncomfortable in the heel area, no matter what I tried it would slide or dig in, causing a great deal of pain in a very short period of time. Eventually abandoned and parked back in the crate as another waste of money.
