Installation nightmare

This part is an installation nightmare, but it's a necessary evil to stop huge puddles under the dishwasher. The cost is high compared to other sites; However, I have a small complaint about the rubber seal. The instructions say it's to be installed a certain way, but the gasket *appears* to be the same design on both sides. This doesn't seem to be a problem as I took a chance (50/50 shot, right :)) and it doesn't leak. It can be installed without removing the dishwasher, but you'll need small hands/arms to work underneath. Make sure you have a towel with you to soak up any water that spills out during installation. The number one tip I can give is to have a pair of pliers to hold the shaft while the compression nut is being installed. If the shaft is not held, it will move and the seal will pop out. Finally, consider placing a water sensor under the dishwasher that will alert you when the water runs out again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • So so
