To replace my household clipper that leaves a lot of messy hair, I focused on professional models who thought they should work better. The Andis T trimmer had great reviews but I'll go back to my consumer trimmer. Andis worked well for about 9 months with twice weekly trimming; pretty light load. Then the machine started pulling the hair out of my beard. Cleaned more often, lubricated more abundantly; worse. Exchanged knives, still bad. Contacted Andis after 14 months who wanted $20 for car service despite refusing the first service fee. Shipping is expensive though, and new blades + $20 service + shipping every year to trim twice a week? Too much for me, especially since my consumer class is still holding up (and getting out of the way!) after 3 years of no maintenance.
