Completely unfazed by it. Not a day goes by at work that I don't use a scriber. So when I saw a tear on the outside of the crochet hook I knew it had to come back. If there's one thing a prick gets, it's pressure, and that crack will snap. Although strange, it seems that the manufacturing process makes a small notch (or notch) for this where the inside of the hook flexes. I'm sure it makes flexing easier, but it didn't stop the outside from flexing. I really liked the thickness of the bar and the extra length of the hook, but. it is a pity.
