Good build quality and functionality - great lens stand for the money.

I love the flexibility of this lens holder. Yes, it does feel a bit unwieldy and I doubt I'll be using the full vertical adjustment, but the underside of the Y-piece also acts as a support to keep the end of your rails off the ground. Good build quality and I really do too, for example the two slots cut into the top of the Y-piece brackets allow the use of two Velcro straps to attach the lens barrel to the mount. Make sure you use two velcro straps, not one, with the seams at top dead center, across the top of the lens so you can detach BOTH layers and quickly release the lens. Components to build my DSLR. I use a cold shoe to attach the top of the camera to the top plate of the cage and add rigidity, but this makes removal a bit more difficult. I then attached an ARCA plate from the QR clip underneath the cage so I can instantly attach the rig to my tripod if I need to do a panorama shot etc. The grips use 8" carbon rods - a 16" rod split down the middle resides in the grip clamp but comes out without having to remove a grip from the tool. The handles are removed to reduce the space required when packing. Please bookmark this review if you found the information here helpful. Thanks very much!
