Review on πŸ’₯ Bosch GDX18V 1800CB15: Powerful 18V Brushless Impact Driver by Ted Higdem

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bosch reliability is slightly reduced.

Love this tool. excellent ergonomics and excellent battery life. I love the fact that you can adjust the torque with the push of a button, which is unusual for an impact wrench. I prefer 2, a good charger and a large canvas bag. The downside is that the red rubber pad around the shaft (collett) can burn your hand if engaged at full speed. When trying to guide the bit, the screw got stuck. I have never encountered other percussion elements. Another downside is that Bosch missed the mark when it came to durability. The protective pieces that used to be rubber, which absorbs the impact of accidental falls, are now made of hard plastic that broke badly on the first drop from around 3 feet. My previous impactor, which I had for about 10 years, was protected by rubber and has survived many falls without any problems. I prefer Bosch to go back to rubber. But overall it's a solid performer with good performance.

Pros
  • CORE18V battery - Next generation 21700-cell lithium-ion technology in a lightweight, powerful battery with optimal performance
Cons
  • Easily torn
