Review on ๐ŸŽง Zalman ZM-MIC1 High Sensitivity 3.5mm Jack Headphone Microphone with Mini Clip for Computer PC Streaming and Gaming by Amber Ramos

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great quality at a great price.

The sound quality in the demo is pretty well described. But otherwise. ERGONOMICS (4/5) This microphone does NOT stick to clothing like a lavalier microphone. Rather, a clamp is something you simply attach to another wire. There are also three mini clips that serve to secure it to the piece of wire and avoid tangling, but the mini clips come loose on their own very easily. However, the main clip will never come loose unless you pull on purpose to it. DURABILITY (5/5) This mic is a very light piece of plastic - too easy to break or break if you drop it on the floor. The only way to damage it would probably be to accidentally step on it. I've had this mic for over a year now (since 10/2012) and haven't had any problems so far. MISCELLANEOUS This can be a plus or a minus - the cord is very long, about 10 feet. It can get tangled easily and the wire itself is quite flimsy. The width is similar to Apple headphones (standard for iPod). Obviously, if you give them the appearance of care, they won't break with regular wear. GENERAL (4/5) May I recommend this? Yes I would. I use this mic for gaming (skype with friends and in-game VOIP) and it does the job perfectly. Obviously there are better mics out there, but for around $10 it's a pretty good deal. A NOTICE. All external sounds came out of my computer's speakers. The audio bitrate of the demo was 192 kbps. The microphone itself was set to a volume of 100 and a gain of +20 dB (from the "Sound" section in the control panel).
