I bought this chain to replace my old one which needed batteries. If you compare this new zapper to my old one, you will see that not only are they about the same size and even the discharge space is about the same, this zapper is much lighter than my old one. The handle on this trap is also smaller and much easier for me to hold. When it comes to usage, I've never had to charge a zapper on a single charge before. The charger takes up almost no space and fits in one of my drawers. When it comes to destroying flying bugs, not only does this thing kill them the first time, I don't have to constantly destroy them to kill them. With my old Beetle, he had to start smoking before he was dead. So not only are they dead on the first discharge, but they also don't stick to the spark gap itself. Really easy to use and works much better and more efficiently.
