Sony CD-Rs are the best. I had to use other brands because they are hard to find. Only Sony and TDK I would buy again. Other brands also fail and problems arise. Cases for Sony discs are white and those for TDK are black. You can write with white, which takes Sony a notch above TDK. I prefer jewelry boxes because they are thin. However, sometimes they're awkward to open, and you have to push carefully to avoid breaking the plastic and/or dropping the disc when it's dangling inside. With AUDIO discs, I prefer that each disc has its own plastic sleeve. I have hundreds of drives both AUDIO and DATA, I prefer Sony for both, use them a lot and am quite happy with the performance. The drive in my Sony computer.
