Unpleasant beep-beep with every measurement
Good: The laser dot pattern, presumably to show the area to be measured, is a nice feature that my old device didn't have. Plus/Minus: It always reads about 3-5 degrees Fahrenheit lower than 4 other thermometers that agree with each other within about 2 degrees Fahrenheit, but it's fairly consistent reading the same value every time on a constant temperature surface in the room Temperature. Unacceptable: a beep emitted with each measurement. so i am sending mine back. The almost English-language instructions say nothing about switching off.
