Straight 1/2 inch thread does not fit!

1/2" fitting is the wrong size - tighten very quickly and firmly, turn on the water and spray everywhere as it won't catch the rubber seal! I took my old hose and screwed it on neatly. Went to Home Depot and bought two of the exact same hoses - and they connect correctly. I do not recommend.
