Light, flexible and unobtrusive. Bought for peace of mind; I can't tell you how well your back is protected in the event of an accident. I bought two but I have three A*s jackets one of which has a Forcefield back protector which is quite heavy and thick so I'll probably buy another one to replace at some point. In the photos this tread appears to have a solid backing, but the back of the tread is actually a thin mesh that allows it to breathe well. Overall I think this is a great option and addition to any motorcycle jacket that will accept a back protector.
