I am a long time handyman and have been using my Sizzix Big Shot for about two years. I've used other similar die-cutting and embossing folder combinations with no problems, but this one is a bit more complicated. You must line up the holes perfectly or the embossing will fail. To do this, I mark my paper, the stamp itself, and the embossing folder so I know which hole goes in the correct slot of the embossing folder. I've never had that with any other kit. This also takes some getting used to. This punch also works great with paper, cards, etc., but the embossing folder can penetrate some materials (thinner paper and particularly shiny paper), so test on recycled paper if possible. When they show up, they're great, but maybe 1 or 2 out of every dozen just don't add up.
