This is the very first sewing machine I've ever owned as I'm not a smart person; actually i'm very clumsy. I chose this mini multifunction sewing machine because it already has 12 preset patterns. Knowing nothing about the sewing machine, I plugged it into an outlet and switched it from OFF to L for low. To my surprise, the machine immediately started working, sewing on what was already on the bottom poppin, which amazed me a lot. I saw the pedal and thought it had to be pressed for the machine to work. It's really my fault for not reading the instructions first, but for this there must be a certain precaution. The right way, After connecting the DC input connector to the power plug, rotating to L for low sewing speed or H for high sewing speed will turn on the sewing machine. To use pedal controls, hold the power/speed switch in the OFF position, press the pedal to turn it on, and lift your foot to turn it off. I love that it has the ability to be fully portable and wireless. , and wish it had a rechargeable battery instead of 4 AA batteries. That being said, I can see the pattern the preset creates and it's much better than what I could do by hand. So I highly recommend this sewing machine for beginners like me.
