Review on πŸƒ Enhance Your Runs with Garmin Forerunner 245 Music: GPS Running Smartwatch with Music and Advanced Dynamics, White by Michael Jenkins

Great watch, could be better in some cases.

Great watch, feels good, not perfect, great stats tracking, some flaws, costs $300 mmmm maybe $200. But it's damn good. Switched from Fitbit in reverse, which was buggy in some ways (stopped counting after a long time). Pros: Great feel, lots of little apps you can install on the watch for activity or navigation. Lots of ways to change the look of your watch for regular use. Excellent stats tracking (online) and integration with other Garmin devices such as a heart rate monitor or cadence sensor. Works great underwater in the shower. Fairly light, the strap is non-invasive. Allows disabling/enabling different modes, e.g. B. automatic events. Cons - The batteries could have lasted a bit longer, I think the music version has them. The strap seems to "rub" my wrist more than my Fitbit Alta hr. This watch stops counting steps/distance when you rest/stop moving your arms, unlike the Fitbit which tends to be more forgiving seemed. A little more expensive than I would like. Some apps don't work as they should, especially some that you might be willing to pay a few bucks for. All in all, this thing ruins my old Fitbit when it comes to stats, accuracy (especially heart rate), and functionality. But if you just want something that tracks your heart rate and doesn't give you the extra hassle of an elliptical trainer, Fitbit might be a better deal. I had to give up the Fitbit because it stopped counting after a long time and it was too frustrating.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • High price
