I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

Switched from IntelCore i7-4790k to AMD Ryzen 5 3600 in my home PC.
The processorruns on MSI X570-A PRO motherboard with 32Gb DDR4 3333MHz Kingston HyperX Predator (HX433C16PB3K2/32) (2x16 KIT) memory and Zalman CNPS9X Optimacomoler.
I installed the OS and Office 2022 - for several days the PC has been working stably.
I do not plan to overclock the processor, so I do not rate it for overclocking.

I chose the motherboard (mp) according to the criterion of maximumcompatibility with the processor and memory.
MSI says they have tested over 1,200 memory modules forcompatibility with the new X570 chipset.
At first I thought to take m. P. based on B450-X470 chipsets, reviewed a large amount of material on mp on these chipsets, almost already decided to buy ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING (top mp on the B450 chipset), but the need to spend time and money on flashing the BIOS (you need to have / buy an old processor or go somewhere and pay money for a BIOS ate) stopped me from buying m. P. on B450-X470. In addition, there is a risk that, in 2022, when the ZEN 3 architecture (the 4th generation of RYZEN) is released, the old mp. will not work with them, which will close the possibility of replacing the processor without changing the mp.

Pros

Decent performance for the money. 6 cores / 12 threads, large cache. In many tests and computational workloads, it is faster than the more expensive Intel 9600k, 8700k processors. In games, the lag is within 5-20%. In terms of overall performance, taking into account the cost (12794 for the OEM version at the beginning of August 2022), this is the best choice.

Cons

The performance in SuperPI is less and the memory latencies are greater than the Intel Core I7-4790k, a 2022 processor. Perhaps for someone it is critical.
