It comes with 4 remote controlled bulbs available in 16 different colors including warm white. They have flash, fade, strobe and smooth functions and they are fine. All buttons work as they should, it even comes with two spare batteries and a spare remote (batteries also come with remotes). It lights up my 11.5 x 12 foot room with ease. These lights, like all colored lights, are not suitable for reading unless you use a lighter color. The exception is light colors like white and yellow, which are also great for soft lighting, which is good if you want that typical warm glow in a room. The bulbs are well made and don't seem to emit any heat at all, even touching them the hand warms the bulbs to my temperature. They are very light and fit perfectly in a standard lamp holder. The lamps also have a dimmer, unlike many lamps with a remote control, which is a big part of the reason I chose these lamps. As a side note, I have a different manufacturer's multi colored lights tree with an almost identical remote, and both the tree and my bulb remotes control some of each other's colors and functions, so if you have two products with that remote side by side, just note, that you can accidentally change the light color of both at the same time, so point the remote control closer and more directly to the light you want. I've attached a video of a "brightness/dimming" setting that you can control with the remote. The camera doesn't live up to that, but it's very bright at the highest settings. Brightness, like any other light source, is affected by the color of the wall. I have cream colored walls so the lamp can light up the room very easily.
