Review on Logitech HD Webcam C270: Crisp 720p Widescreen Video Calling & Recording (960-000694), Lightweight and Portable at 3.15 lb. by Stanislaw Bieroza ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The quality doesn`t fit my expectations, I won`t buy it again.

That is why I made the decision to create a review. There are 300 of them here; in the past, I have never commented on a product where there are many reviews, but I have since made up my mind. I'll start by saying that the only videos I ever record with the webcam are [4: 3] 800 * 600 and 640 * 480 resolution ones. I am at the first entry with max. I was aware when I purchased it that the c270 (gray model) had received a lot of extremely favorable ratings. My impression of the quality was low. If you boost it to 20%, there is already some form of noise in the video that is written in daylight (the program's video gain is set to 0%). Well, I once purchased it in 2022 or 2022—I can't remember—and utilized it precisely as it was. As I mentioned above, issues started to arise after a few years. When none of my strategies continued to work, I started reading the reviews. on many types of cities. Kah, Reg. Dah, Rose. Kah, as well as other internet stores. I read all the favorable and unfavorable evaluations before reaching otso. ka and airek.nd. A review with two stars stated that the reviewer had purchased two of these cameras at various dates. He claims that the old model has a larger matrix than the new one, however I did take this into consideration without paying much attention to it. A month later, I made the decision to wrap up the subject and searched YouTube for a dozen repair videos that featured the filling. What I witnessed was beyond description. I initially believed that the webcam I was using was an outdated version from the year 2022/2022, but it turns out that it has already been neutered. I took pictures of myself and replicated myself, then I used my smartphone to take a picture from the same angles and realized that my matrix is smaller than theirs! I'm astounded. I make the choice to share this encounter. Yes, by the way, any 4: 3 or 16: 9 video is written here with some sort of stupid parameters - the sound will always be 1400 kbit bitrate and the video is fine there according to the settings - this is what - that shooting any video in the video itself will have a volume of 20 - 30% and the rest is the "weight" of the sound, you can't change it in the standard program. Yes, and I need my own parameters; I want to write at 1/5 of a second, and the sound is 64-128 kbps. However, I will hunt for this in other software because I'm quite dissatisfied in the webcam's intended obsolescence and the general decline in quality.

Pros
  • I'll start with the positives, like how good the microphone is! It is atop. There are also no longer any actual pluses.
Cons
  • The manufacturer's hypocrisy (the site claims that 720p at 30 frames per second is written, while the present is 15fps) More video recording quality at maximum settings looks bad (the manufacturer discovered this and started incorporating tiny matrices inside the webcam) The webcam gets quite hot (even when it's just in standby mode and not recording; according to the program, you need to turn off everything!) The camera began with some flaws over the years (with a rare inclusion for recording 4: 3 video in its own proprietary software with poor video quality): either the entire viewing screen was white, then gray, then black; this was fixed by removing the camera from the socket five times and reinserting it. Then, this technique stopped working to treat these bugs, dismantled it, and washed away all the flux. It starts out without any bugs for a time.
