I bought these to replace some side lights that weren't bright enough. 1 photo - old lanterns. The headlights are in the second photo. The third picture is a flashlight with 850 lumens of light. They are definitely lighter than what I had. They are slightly better than the flashlight in the flood category, but slightly weaker in the spot. Even without comparing it to other light, you will see that some of the flow is good and spreads very evenly. The spotted part is more vertical, like the shape of a cigar, than round, which I think should be. The other issue is that the pigtail that came with the kit is only 5.5 inches long, which resulted in a roof splice in my case. with light. Another problem is that if you install on a flat surface, the adjustment screws will not work. The Allen key just won't go into the head of the screw. I had to loosen them, aim and mark, then take them off, align the marks, tighten and reattach. Another problem was the specified specifications. Judging from the photos, the light output is somewhat comparable to the 850 lumen light output, which is a lot less than the advertised lumens for this light source. Watts are also listed as 120 watts to glow, but I measured it at 12.6 volts with the car off and 14.4 volts on, and in both cases I got 21 to 22 watts to glow, which is a stark difference from the advertised 120 watts is . I put them on a UTV that has limited power from the stator so less watts is better but they can bring the specs a little closer to reality so people can make an informed decision when buying. Overall despite some issues with this light I am happy with the result as they are very affordable, look good and provide enough light for their purpose.
