Wheels were purchased for portable miter saw machine and table saw machine. I ordered and received all 8 rolls. The locking mechanism is relatively easy to use when locking and unlocking the roller. The locking mechanism blocks both wheel rolling and spindle turning. However, after blocking the caster, there is still some slop left. With the caster locked between 'good' positions, it is also possible to rotate the caster until it slides into position (and hears a click) and then becomes mostly immobile. Finally, while the base plates are relatively thick (1/8"), they are not flat. In my case, one is slightly curved in either direction and the others are slightly twisted. This won't be a problem for my projects, but can be a problem for be some buyers.
