just as thick or a little thicker than cardboard, good weight
I'm happy to finally have found some good weight cases to protect my DVD. They are slightly thicker than most cards. Lately I've bought a lot of flimsy cloth pads that are useless for disc protection and I was very happy to find them. I wish they did something similar with the window. I pulled out 3 sockets, put in a CD and removed it from each socket. All 3 cases held and it was easy to insert and remove the CD. The tab closed without any problems.
