Cannot be attached to a standard light octahedron! This light attaches to a single gang output box. I bought a white plug and modified it to match the light anyway (not included). 2, the light does not cover the entire octagonal box as in fig. 4, so without the cover you can see behind the wall after installation. I fixed it. The problem is that the top row of crystals is difficult to attach. I like the look of the lamp but it needs an overhaul to make it more durable. If this is the style you absolutely need, you can definitely install it with a little ingenuity. Looks great after installation
