THIS BASKET SEEMS TO BE 100% JOY

I didn't know I could experience as much joy and excitement as a basket. Pure joy! I was looking for a replacement folding basket with a canvas bag and bamboo stand. (Cheaper style but it had a very nice look so it could stand in my bedroom without flinching.) I had my previous basket, probably over 7 years old - I really liked it to the point where I even manually repaired a small tear where the bag was attached to the stand to extend its lifespan. I never thought that I would ever find a basket that I like so much or that satisfies my very specific "wants". I wouldn't buy a basket if it didn't have a lid. I live alone, but no matter what, I want to be able to "hide" dirty laundry. It also had to have a high quality look - that is, no "foam" top, no explicit plastic, etc. Also, I searched extensively for a basket that didn't require assembly - not because I don't know how, but in many cases those that need to be "built". "Have structural weaknesses. (Cardboard bottom, nails/hinges that split into "cheap"/lightweight bamboo or wood frames, etc.) I had a very specific set of desires - and I did NOT want to spend $100 or more "The Basket tested all of these $50 boxes. It arrived fully assembled. I was a bit concerned as the box had a noticeable "cut" down one of the long sides of the box. Especially since I opened the box and found there was none.' There was no 'secure' packaging (ie no bubble wrap, protective foam etc. There was some paper in the lid area. After unwrapping the box I found it though 100% perfect - no damage, visual defects and warping/shaping issues The double lid lay perfectly flat on the basket The mocha color was a lovely dark brown that went well with the various tones of wood furniture I already had in my bedroom The Texture was less dry/brittle than I expected to be a definite plus. Not slow moving my laundry from the old basket to the new one.I will say the overall size was "smaller" than I thought it would be (in terms of the I assumed from the dimensions and pictures that this would be larger than my previous basket - and I think they are actually comparable. A decent one nonetheless che size! I would say that each bag can easily hold a full load of laundry, maybe a load and a half. (I'm using a front loading HE washing machine - for size loading context). Here, too, it is enough as a single person who does the laundry once a week. ent if I don't have a week with excessive bedding/towels. (I don't usually put linens in the hamper - I wait to go to the laundry to sort the bed). I have a cat and she doesn't seem interested in getting a new one. However, I can see how it can draw cats' attention and you should consider that when purchasing. Overall I am very excited about the purchase. The price, functionality, looks, etc. are superior to all other alternatives I've considered, with the possible exception of the three section/wash models, which cost over $100 each. I highly recommend this. My only question/concern is finding a spare set of bags. (They appear to be of good quality and work as advertised. However, I was hoping to buy an extra set and keep it for future use. I think while I hope to use this basket, a backup would be a good measure.
