First impression! I originally bought a size 10 but it came up to about mid-way down my cat's back, so definitely go for the length of the back with this model! If it proves to be too loose on the chest, you can always dress it up. Samwise measures approximately 14 inches across the chest and approximately 12 inches from the back of the head to the base of the tail when unstretched. I didn't delete it. however, no word on whether it's a pill or not. A little lint fell out when putting on and taking off, but not much. It seems very well made and I heard a lot about this brand before I bought it. I didn't see any sign of it freezing in the mid 40's when we tested it. Not to mention that he looked deliciously plum.
