Review on LG SN5Y Audio Sound Virtual by Melissa Kula

Ok, that's it. I have a new LG OLED TV and wanted a soundbar to improve the overall sound of the TV. I read the reviews and while they were mostly good, there were a few bad ones. So here is my conclusion. I hooked this up via HDMI ARC and the sound wasn't very good. Tried activating eARC. Better not so much. Tried optically. It was fine, but I liked being able to control the volume from one source, ie the TV, and didn't have to use one remote for the soundbar and one for the TV so there wasn't an optical one. The tone varied depending on what you were watching. Netflix, Prime, Satellite, YouTube. I messed up all sorts of sound settings. The biggest problem. The voices are LOW so turn up the volume then BAMMMMM! Sound effects and music will knock you off the couch and make your ears bleed. so turn it off again. then you won't hear the voice anymore. to repeat. I thought maybe I was crazy until my mom was looking at my kids and saw Mulan on Disney+ and I walked in and the TV blew up. I said mom turn the volume down She said. I can't hear her talk. So check the box. I'm not crazy. This time! It was consistent no matter how I set it up. I turned the bass down, then the treble, then back down. The sound effect setting has been changed. Nothing ever worked so I'm going back. lasted less than a week and the tv speakers are way more balanced than this thing.
