Zero waste, here I come!

You are helping me in my Zero Waste quest. With these rags, it's been over two years since I've used paper towels. These fabrics are durable enough to withstand repeated use and washing. However, the price is low enough that you don't feel guilty about throwing it away. I use five or six rags a week and have yet to use all the rags in the pack. I'm not even halfway there, a year later. I just keep washing them. My only concern is the ability to absorb liquid on contact. Sometimes it takes a minute for the material to start absorbing. So if you're mopping up a spill, you're more likely to move the liquid around before you start vacuuming it up. I usually just dip the cloth over the liquid and press on the cloth until absorption begins. In the same way, when trying to wet the fabric, I have to press it in water several times before the liquid seeps inside. It is important to remember that the use of fabric softeners and some detergents can affect the absorbency of the fabric. I add vinegar instead of detergent and wash on a hot cycle. However, they are ideal for cleaning. size just right. Scratch and cleaning solutions do not attack the material. Will not peel, crack or fall apart. Just rinse and carry on. At some point my supply will run out. I'll see which product is the most effective at that point. I would buy more anytime if they were still in stock and the price is right. I would also recommend them to others.
