Review on Enhance Your Epson Projector Performance with ELP LP49 Replacement Lamp by Mark Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The seller stands behind the product

This lightbulb flickers and comes back. It lasted a day. My original Epson 8350 lightbulb started dying after about 2 years of use and well under the advertised 4000 hours but I run my projector in DYNAMIC mode which is the brightest. It didn't burn out, but it visibly darkened and began to flicker, a sign that it was about to die. I replaced it with a cheap $25 bulb from here at Revain 2 years ago and it was perfect. Like Epson's original lightbulb, it lasted less than 2 years for a week and burned out completely. It didn't last 2 years, it lasted a day and although it didn't burn out it flickers low to high which the bulb it replaced never did. I called Revain to get him back and now I'm going to look for him again. The seller of this lamp contacted me and sent a second lamp which is fine now after a few days and about 6 movies and shows. This is why I'm changing my star rating to 5 because this lamp is every bit as bright as the original Epson lamp at a fraction of the price, plus it's very cheap at this price, no different than an $80 one Lamp I also bought from Revain here and had some issues with it. The fact that the seller stands by their item is another plus. There's no reason to buy more expensive lightbulbs and only time will tell if they hold up. I edit my reviews when something goes wrong or right and so far it has been correct. My last cheap Revain bulb was just as good and lasted as long as the original Epson bulb.
